Discount Maui airfare and Google were made for each other. Yes, research for a good cause-your pocketbook. It's worth a little time and effort.

You can probably find cheap airline tickets to Maui-depending on the time of year, when you book, how you book and just plain old luck. Like finding two airlines slugging it out and giving discounts like crazy.

Sometimes you can save by booking way in advance. Sometimes by group-all 500 people at a convention hotel. "Group rates for Maui medical convention." Often you can lower island car rentals at the same time. And cut golf course registration.

Cheap flights to Maui may also be combined with a Hawaii-Maui-Condo deal at Kaanapali. You might try a travel agent for this as well as a direct phone call to an individual airline.

Ask if monday to thursday flights are cheaper. Also, flights leaving at some unholy, moon-viewing, middle-of-the-night, absolutely rediculous hour. To save some money, you might want to stay up or get up. Think adventure.
